OkioMail is a free Windows email client that includes features that are similar to some of the free versions of the popular e-mail programs like AIM and Yahoo. There are a number of differences in how OkioMail works though. You won't be able to use them with Google or Yahoo. But for the price, it is still one of the best Windows mail clients around. It also comes with some cool extras like a toolbar and a Google Search Box, which is really cool since these are things that you can't get from a paid download.
I have to admit, I was a little wary about downloading this application since the term "free" always leads me to think something is wrong with the application. But I decided to go ahead and try it anyway. It is actually pretty easy to download. The first thing you will want to do is find a reliable download site that offers Windows downloads, as most of the places that you can find free applications won't have the Windows version. Once you have found a download site, the next step is to download the application and install it onto your computer.
To start, just locate the OkioMail application in your Start Menu or Desktop Icon and then open it. If you click on the Install tab, you will be given the option to download the application to your computer. Click on that option. After that, your Windows desktop will show you the list of downloads that you have on your computer. Click on the Download button and then install the application. Once the installation process is complete, you should be ready to use your new Windows email program. So if you are a Windows user who has been holding off on getting an email program, this may be the perfect time to try it out.
